So I was stationed on the service desk today at work. And for one reason or another I was chatting to a male staff member waiting at the printer for some flyers to print when this guy comes up. Being the desk monkey that I am I greeted him but he started explaining his problem to my coworker behind me who hadn't even given the inclination that he was the one dealing with these sorts of issues.
Anyways I answer his question and he looks to my male coworker again for affirmation.
Just because its a computer shop and I'm petite waif of a young woman (Not my words, the words of a dorky admirer) does not mean I do not know what I'm talking about.
I know my goddamn stuff, well enough to be given the responsibility of running the service desk and effectively screening queries to give the technicians more time to get on with their booked in jobs.
If I didn't know what I was doing I wouldn't be there. Can't some men get that through their thick heads?
