Mornings are Evil
Feb. 22nd, 2008 08:03 pmOkay, I like the night, 3am study sessions thats me! Constant pain in the butt to my more unhinged housemate when I potter down to the bathroom in the small hours(The other one seems perfectly fine about it). Definitely not a morning person? *Raises hand*
But for the past two morning I have had to been up at the ever so cheerful hour of 6 am to get to the Biological Anthropology labs for 8am to working on my dissertation pilot project. It's bloody hard work as well aliquoting tiny samples of DNA, buffer and a whole lot of other stuff. My shoulder was so stiff when I finished.
Needless to say work is not happy with me since I can't do my Wednesday shift the only other time I can work when it wouldn't clash with lectures is 7:30-13:30. That means a 5:30 start. It's a conspiracy, they're trying to screw up my life by making me have to get up at times where I might still actually be awake from the previous day. Cursed insomnia.
But I think the stress is getting me down, my body keeps crying out for sugar which only actually gives me energy for an hour. Coffee barely scratches the surface, it was 9:30 am in my morning seminar yesterday and I was bobbing back and forth about to drop off only to jolt back awake a second later.
I feel rather stressed at the moment.
My parents came up this afternoon, had a nice lunch at a Japanese restaurant then did some shopping. Good fun, mentioned Mum's next birthday to my Dad six and a half months in advance to make sure he saves up for it as it's a biggie. Pretty much dinner and a show and maybe an overnight stay, depending on how it goes. Trying to avoid a big family gathering as Mum is fed up with her sisters being uppity and my Nan failing to see my Mum's point of view. I want her to have a nice birthday. Makes me glad I only have one brother and a younger one at that. Unfortunately despite living a two hour train journey away from my family it seems to fall to me to do most of the organizing. However this works it's going to be clever. Fortunately I have the internet and a credit card.
I'm liking the Go-Onger premier, the cast seems picture perfect, I couldn't believe it when I read that Hant's actor is only sixteen! They're getting younger all the time.
Kiva. Garuru form rocks, the finisher is a bit iffy but the sword is cool and the rest of the fight choreography rocks. It's been especially good this year and last years was pretty fantastic. And Wataru, he's so honorable and packed with adorable guilt by proxy. Oh how I want to give him a motherly hug and tell him it's going to be alright.
I've also joined Sentai Gakuen as Retsu but I think I'll wait till I can hold a single thought in my head then concentrate and make sense of it before I post.
